Brookfield Police Event To Raise Funds For Special Olympics

The Brookfield Police Department and Special Olympics Connecticut will be teaming up for the first ever Plunge Candlewood event on March 15th.

This is a trademarked event specifically for fundraising in support of the Special Olympics, with 100% of funds raised going toward costs associated with the Special Olympics summer and winter games.

It's also a team oriented event, where participants create temas and challenge others to see who can raise the most money. And all participants run into the icy Candlewood Lake.

To participate, applicants must raise a minimum of $50 and be at least eight years old. Costumes, team outfits as well as individuals and sponsors are all welcome.

There will be refreshments, games, music and more.
